Fee Structure

What is the Fee Structure Independent Project Directorship - Leadership, Intervention and Project Recovery

The Independent Project Director provides an independent source of senior project leadership, professional judgement and delivery oversight, supporting clients in the successful execution of projects from inception through to completion, as well as intervening in existing projects where performance, control or delivery confidence has been compromised.

This capability supports owners, investors and builders across inception through project delivery.

The service is structured around two principal engagement models.

1. End-to-End Project Leadership

For projects requiring sustained leadership from inception through delivery, the Independent Project Director provides strategic direction, establishes the project delivery framework, oversees implementation and maintains continuous oversight of program, cost, quality, risk and stakeholder performance.

The objective is to ensure that the project is properly structured, effectively managed and successfully delivered in accordance with the client's requirements and expectations.

2. Independent Project Intervention and Recovery

For projects experiencing difficulties, underperformance or loss of delivery control, the Independent Project Director undertakes a focused and independent intervention. The approach is to first establish the facts, identify and isolate the underlying problems, determine the root causes and develop a practical corrective action strategy.

This is followed by direct involvement in implementing the necessary solutions, removing obstacles, restoring management control and bringing project performance back to an acceptable and sustainable level.

The intervention is not limited to identifying problems or producing recommendations. It is directed towards achieving tangible improvements through decisive leadership, coordinated action and measurable performance recovery.

In either engagement model, the Independent Project Director's overriding responsibility is to protect the client's interests, provide clarity and direction, strengthen project governance and ensure that the necessary decisions and actions are taken to achieve the desired project outcomes.

The underlying principle is simple: to provide independent leadership that brings projects under control, keeps them on course and, where necessary, restores them to successful delivery.
